Pearl and her new mom

I have been photographing Pearl the Wonder Whippet, my muse, for an entire week.

And when I say a week, I mean we have been attached at the hip, ankle, head, waist and thigh -- Pearl likes direct contact wherever she can get it -- since her adoption on Sunday last. It goes without saying that I am here to give her what she wants. It also goes without saying that I have not been to the studio.

Went to the grocery store once, briefly,  but mostly stuck my husband with the day to day details of home life while I babied Pearl, my newly adopted pet petunia, and photographed her constantly.

Since I am an iPhone maniac, I have been photographing her with my iPhone, sometimes using the awesome Pro Camera Plus app, and mobile-ing the photos to Facebook from my lounge chair (with whippet) in the backyard. I have snapped so many photos of her that Pearl doesn't even flinch when I stick the camera in her face anymore. It's just mom and her constant clicking. Yawn.

That's saying a lot for a nervousy young lady trying to adjust to a new  family, new cat (eeek!!!) and new house and surroundings. Even new birds in the back yard. That stuff is scary.

Here are a couple of the photos I took. Be jealous, you dog lovers out there. Be very very jealous.
