Join me at the Rocky River Quilt Show this weekend
November 11, 2011
If you like quilting and quilt shows, please join me at the Reflections of Nature Quilt Show in North Olmsted this weekend (Nov. 12-13, 2011). I will be away from my studio at Summit Artspace to give an inspiring talk at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Here's the link: www.clemetparks.com/events/quilt.asp
The title of my talk is "If Quilters Ruled the World." Just imagine the streets paved with broken dishes! I will also take a lighthearted look at the quilt police, bobbin tension and the solemn act of finishing. Other topics: pricing quilts, memorial work and taking risks.
You can browse photographs of quilts until you fall over but will never get their beauty without firsthand witnessing the interplay of light and shadow falling across their undulating surfaces. It's a whole new experience. Please join me. The talk is at 2 p.m. Nov. 12 and 13, which is this Saturday and Sunday.
This quilt show is wildly popular and will feature hundreds of quilts and dozens of vendors and is in the bucolic setting of the Rocky River Nature Center, which is gorgeous at this time of year.
